St. Patrick's Day

Today we had some school events connected to St.Patrick's Day.

First of all we had a School-Wide Quest. There were coded some funny riddles connected with the symbols of this Irish holiday and Ireland itself. The leprechaunt didn't want pupils to get his "pot of gold", so he played some tricks with children by hiding in codes and making mess in QUEST.

Pupils from 5th to 9th forms could take part in it working alone or in group. The most active were 5th, 6th, and 7th forms. The first it was done by the girls from the 5th form. Our congratulations.

Also during the lessons of English children could learn some new information and unusual facts about this holiday history, traditions and ways of celebration. At the end they could show their knowledge and played the games.

First three winners could get their small prizes. Well done!

Taras Shevchenko's life

This week we had a list of events that were connected with life and famous works of our favourite poet and artist - Taras Shevchenko.

The main event was "QR Treasure Hunt". It was devoted to the famous poems of Taras Shevchenko, that everyone know from the very early years. They were in english and I coded them. I displayed QR codes in different places of our school. Here teenagers could find audio or video -recording of some of them, and even have a song that was based on one of the Taras's poem. They should guess all titles of those poems correctly. The pupils from 5th to 9th forms could took part at this Hunt in groups or alone. They have time till the last lesson to do this task. The winners were 3 groups. The most active were 6th form and 7th form. The first, this task were done by Natalia from the 7th form. All winners  got a sweet prizes.

Also we had organized a small game in the 5th and 6th form, and in the 8th form. Children have done some revising tasks before the main game. I organized them on the platform Kahoot. So, the first three winners of this game could also get their small prizes.

It was really exciting to watch these sparcles in the eyes of our children while they tried to got all answers.
